While the 6.5 mm Creedmoor was originally made famous by competitive precision rifle shooters hunters quickly adopted the cartridge. This cartridge is able to shoot bullets that are ballisticially comparable to heavier calibers but at higher velocities and with reduced recoil giving small to medium game hunters a distinct advantage.
