As an extruded propellant Hodgdon Extreme H4198 Rifle Powder has become a popular choice among people who prefer reloading. Since the powder was first launched it has gone through a few changes but without compromising on the all-important fast burn rate.
One change involved the kernels being shortened which in turn improved the ease and accuracy of metering. In addition elements were added to the powder thereby making it insensitive to both cold and hot weather conditions. For .222 Remington 7.62x39 and .444 Marlin cartridges this is one tough powder.
